This causes the fibers to shrink, fluff up and become more absorbent. The inserts will shrink and get thicker with the first few washes. Too much or too little may cause your inserts to possibly stink, or leave baby with a rash. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAn additional rinse can be used for particularly soiled loads. Make sure that your diapers are rinsed clean. Any residue from poop, urine, or detergent can make your diapers smell. Tumble dry on any temperature or line dry.\u003cb\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDo not use fabric softener.\u003c\/b\u003e It will coat the inserts, making them water repellent and reduce the absorbency of the inserts. Do not use baking soda or vinegar in your wash. These are unnecessary. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cbr\u003eStain removal.\u003c\/b\u003e If staining occurs, it is important that any products used on the diapers and covers to remove the stains are mild so as not to irritate the baby’s skin and\/or cause the diapers to prematurely deteriorate.
